This page explains how Interiørlab uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies such as localStorage.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We also use local storage (localStorage), which works similarly but persists longer. Together we refer to these as "storage technologies".
2. Categories we use
- Necessary (always on): Login session (Supabase auth token), your active consent (
interiorlab.tos.accepted,interiorlab.cookies.consent), language and theme preferences, and basic protection against abuse. The service cannot function without these. - Preferences: Stores non-essential choices that improve your experience (e.g. which onboarding steps you've completed, last visited room).
- Analytics: In the future we may collect anonymised usage data to improve the app. We do not load third-party analytics scripts without your consent.
3. Third parties
- Stripe – sets cookies only on its own checkout page when you buy credits. Required to prevent fraud.
- Supabase – stores the auth token in browser storage to keep you signed in.
- Google / Apple – only during sign-in through those providers, on their own domains.
4. Change or withdraw consent
You can change your choices at any time under Settings → Cookies → Change consent. You can also clear your browser storage – the banner will then reappear on your next visit.
5. Retention
Your cookie consent is stored for up to 12 months or until you change it. Essential storage values are removed when you sign out or delete your account.
